Winter tales (1)

Usually our trips are not very well and into detail planned, but they are most certainly dreamt of!
We care less for "what is to be seen there" and more for how is that place going to make us feel. And for that you don't really need a map. An open heart and a camera is what I take with me. And a good companion ;).

Waking up early was still an adventure, but I guess that will never have anything to do with the place for me...
The first day was about roaming the narrow streets,

walking up and down the stairs, sniffing the food they were making&selling in the squares and falling in love with small details.

Ok, I admit, I wanted to see "those roofs" also,

but I never expected to get so hooked on door knobs.

At the end of the day I was already dreaming of a good coffee in a nice spot.

The snow, the frost and the cold were not on the menu, really...

Paint it BLUE

This month we paint it blue.
For all those days we laughed and cried in the same time, we struggled, we hoped and wished for.

A big hug for all those understanding, supporting and loving us. :)

Quick project

Knitting is fun, especially if you have a Mum by your side who always seems to have something on her needles. Being a girl with a plan is a very entertaining job. For yourself as well as for the others.

So knitting for Missy, these days, looks like this:

1. steal some yarn; the closest you can find - nevermind that Mum is still knitting at the other end ; look around for some friends in need of a new layer...

2. decide on that lucky toy that's going to wear whatever comes out of your hands...

3. start working: everything goes (wrapping, simple knots, double knots, loops)

4. and because all the above took so much time (like almost a minute!), consider your job done, and the toy covered in yarn. Ta-daaa!!!

I speak picturish

When you know reading is special. When you feel there's so much love in reading. When you know reading is spending a lot of time together. Sharing is caring and reading for friends is priceless...

Tea anyone?

She woke up early: "Mummy, do you want some tea?"
Anytime!

And I see her getting busy, moving quickly but always with a reason, picking from a (considerable) pile only the dishes we need.

My, my, there's the tea, ready to be served. I swallow hard - there's so much pink on that table. She even managed to get a tablecloth. (wasn't it my clean dishtowel from the kitchen?! eh...details...)

But she is still busy, still not ready. And just when I was about to ask, she handed me another cup: "That's mummy's coffee" Still pink, but at least the cup doesn't match the plate anymore. That's more like it! Or rather...that's more like me.
She sips from her cup and I start looking around for my other coffee (you know, the one that smells like Irish Cream). But the 30 seconds are gone and she has some other idea: "Mummy, wanna play Casper?".

I didn't get to say anything back. Whatever was left on the table came crushing down and then a little ghost was on the other side of the table.

"Hello, my name is Casper. Do you want to be my friend?" -- Oh, yes!

No tea, no coffee, but we do know how to party.
